|
The sun is considered dangerous
from early April until late October. |
|
Cover
up with light summer clothing to stop burning. No
bare shoulders or neck exposed. |
|
Wide-brimmed
hats are great protection for the head, face and neck. |
|
USE A HIGH FACTOR SUNSCREEN. STAY OUT OF THE SUN DURING THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY. |
Parents can send in sunscreen for their child to apply to themselves.
It may be more convenient to cover your child before they come to school.
|
Factor 15 is the sun screen now required for our climate |
Using sunscreen is particularly important on trips and Sportsday.
|
Children should drink water, which can be brought in, from home. |
Encourage children to use the shaded areas around the playgrounds and the
quiet area at the hottest part of the day.
