Jimmy Spratt

Jimmy Spratt MLA:

  • Married for over thirty years, with four grown up sons
  • Joined RUC in 1972, 30 year service in Londonderry and Belfast
  • Worked for Close Protection Unit including as Primary Protection Officer - attached to former Secretary of State, NIO Ministers, Chief Constable and other VIPs
  • Became heavily involved in Police Federation, acting as Chairman until retirement
  • Founding Director of Harp and Crown Credit Union
  • Served on Government Committees at regional and national level representing British Police Service - served on Home Office Working Group for Health and Safety and Police Negotiating Board for pay and conditions across the UK
  • Regularly conducted entensive briefings at embassies and to senior politicians at Westminster and Stormont
  • Independent member of District Policing Partnership
  • Currently employed within environmental field
  • Assistant Secretary of local Presbyterian church
  • Election Agent/ Campaign Manager for MP and Assembly Members
  • Vice chair of Castlereagh DUP branch, and Press Officer of Constituency Association
  • Prior to joining RUC was former Chairman of Moneyreagh Young Unionist branch
