The sun is considered dangerous from early April until late October.

Cover up with light summer clothing to stop burning.

No bare shoulders or neck exposed.

Wide-brimmed hats are great protection for the head, face and neck.

USE A HIGH FACTOR SUNSCREEN.

STAY OUT OF THE SUN DURING THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY.

Parents can send in sunscreen for their child to apply to themselves.

It may be more convenient to cover your child before they come to school.

Factor 15 is the sun screen now required for our climate

Using sunscreen is particularly important on trips and Sportsday.

Children should drink water, which can be brought in, from home.

Encourage children to use the shaded areas around the playgrounds and the quiet area at the hottest part of the day.
