Special Circumstances

These will apply when a child has received more than half their primary education outside Northern Ireland or because of medical or other problems, which are supported by appropriate documentary evidence, the child was unable to take the Transfer Tests or should a child become resident in N Ireland after the end of the P7 summer term and therefore did not attend primary school in N Ireland and did not sit any of the Transfer Tests for their age group, an assessment of the child's ability may be requested from the Education and Library Board.
